The Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx
A must visit destination for tourists to Egypt. The three pyramids of Giza have one of the historical and perhaps greatest architecture ever known to man by the pat, no wonder its one of the last seven wonders of the world still viewable. You will find 3 tombs in each of a pyramid with a dead king and other artefacts. The 3 pyramids are Khufu, then Kafhre and the perhaps little known Menkaura. At the sight of the pyramid, you will see the Sphinx, something like a cat structure, stunning to see!

Abu Simbel
This border city, next to Sudan and also the Giza pyramids is famous fot the Abu Simbel cultural festival which occurs twice in a year, Feb and Oct. There are lots of dances, music and sights for the travelers. This city is famous of the monument of the pre- Egypt. You will see the two temples for Ramessess 11 the ancient pharaoh, perhaps the greatest. You can visit Abu simbel by an Aswan cruise on the Nile, this is perhaps the most adventurous way to get there, but buses and car hire is possible.
Siwa Oasis
On the edge of the Great Sand Sea, its rich history includes a visit from Alexander the Great to consult the Oracle of Amun in 331 BC. Archaeologists, such as Liana Souvaltsis and implied that the great military leader was buried here, but no real evidence has come from this. The King of Persia lead a 50,000 man army to the area to destroy the oracle, but the entire army was lost in the desert.
